Back in the mid 1970s a working man in Oklahome packed his wife and kids into his 20-year old Ford truck and drove to relatives in Greene, New York. He arrived with no money and sold the truck for $250 to a couple of back-woods types named John who promptly named it, "Okie." After several years of faithful duty it was retired and parked up in the woods out behind the barn where it remained until the late winter of 2011 when it was sold for scrap metal... but thankfully not before Karen and I came across it on a hike and I took several photos of it. (After all, Karen's an Okie to, born in Oklahoma City!)
