The Culdaff Pier, tucked into the Northeast coast of Inishowen Penninsula, Donegal, is deserted in October; The ragged fishing boats are sitting on rusty trailers, the waves crash continuously, and violently, against the sea wall, the sky is grey and chilly. The headlands to the south march away into the hazy mist, each a paler shade of blue. I had the place to myself, except for a curious seagull. The whole scene hauntingly beautiful. |
