The spectacular Connor Pass road angles southwesterly across the mountain ridge of the Dingle Peninsula between Stradbally and Dingle Town. The narrow winding road is the highest in Ireland, and at the top, on a clear day (are you kidding me?!), looking North you can see County Clare across Brandon Bay, and looking South, as I am in this painting, beyond Dingle Bay to the Iveragh Peninsula (Ring of Kerry). In November, the grasses are streaked with orange... another reason I love to go to Ireland in the off-season. |
