22" x 30" - oil on canvas - $2250 |
In Dingle Harbor rested an aged trawler, the Draiocht Na Mara. Built in Campbeltown, Scotland, she was offered at auction a few years back to pay harbor dues, but did not sell. Decades of patches, both welded and painted, cover her rusting black hull. By the way, the name is pronounced /DREE-ackt nah Marh-ah/ and means, "Magic of the Sea"... or in other words, lots of fish! |
