| Before the new owners began the laborous process of restoring the Whitmarsh farmhouse and barn, new barn doors had been put on, and the old ones still lie where they fell in the scruffy grasses a few feet away. The new doors, roughcut hemlock planks, were greying in the sun, and the large screwdriver, ever more rusty with each humid summer, still secured the mysteries inside. |
