In Aghadoe (pronounced AH-ha-dough) just outside of Killarney I came across this sheepdog calmly hearding a long line of cows along the ridgeline, with the Magillicuddy Reeks in the distance. Later when I described the scene to an Irish friend who was a doctor and knew every farm and tiny twisting lane in the Killarney area, he said, "Oh, those were Pat Talbot's cows." |
