| This is the third painting I've done of our beautiful flowering Echo Lake. This time the Pond Lilies that precede the waterlilies every Spring, rising up 4-6" out of the water, soon to be surrounded by first the lily pads and then the lilies themselves. I always think of Pond Lilies as being the advance guard of the lily pond, going on ahead to make sure all is clear, then settling in little watchtowers to keep a lookout... |
